I’m Canadian, a cat mum, a lover of breakfast, fashion and film. I also happen to be a wedding, elopement & editorial photographer based in Queenstown, New Zealand. Nothing inspires or excites me more than the beautiful connection and story two people can create together, and that is what I strive to document in every wedding or elopement I’m invited to photograph and every session I capture with brands and businesses.

Through music, conversation and the love of the environment we find ourselves in, we’ll create images together that truly evoke who you are as people and as a couple.
That can sound like a bit of work on your part, but in reality it will simply feel like you just happen to be with the one you love, talking about the things you love, listening to the music you love and getting to explore somewhere beautiful
(wether that be deep in the mountains during your intimate elopement, or with all of your loved ones in a venue overlooking the ocean).
Most of the time, you won’t even notice the camera there, and that is perfectly intentional. I always say to couples,
“if you forget I’m your photographer on the day, and simply another friend to help you have an amazing experience, I’ve done my job”
I don’t create by posing couples, but I do believe in directing your experience and curating an environment to allow you to be you.
There aren’t many things I love more than an evening on the couch, cuddling my cats, red wine in hand, with a record on, talking about life and art with friends. That kind of familiar, relaxed comfort is something I want to bring into every aspect of life, including the couples I interact with snd the photos I create.
Most of my life has been and continues to be shaped by art (whether that be filling up full sketchbooks of drawings as a child, ballet in my teens and photography throughout then and now) the love of fluffy animals (if you bring your dog to your wedding please expect at least 100 photos of them throughout your gallery), and the people who surround me (through shared exploration of beautiful cities and seashores or deep conversation over wine).
I bring all of that into the experience I’ve created for the couples I work with, and if you feel like we’d get along, I would love to join you on your wedding planning journey and wedding day!
My style is a culmination of my passion for the fashion and documentary portrait photographers like Peter Lindbergh & Rodney Smith, my love of meaningful and fun conversation, the inspiration I find from learning and capturing couples’ unique connection and the constant consideration of the environment and how it can influence the feeling of a photo.
My process is intended to bring you so much more than photography, although you’ll be blown away with that as well! From the very start of working together, I’m here for you in anything you need.
Each couple receives my curated client guide that shares every detail of what I’ve learned from the 400+ weddings I’ve been invited to capture, is added to my monthly newsletter with tips for their day, and knows I’m just an email away for anything from timeline questions to what colour florals will look best with the time of year! ON my end of things, I’m pretty relaxed and try to keep the infromation I need you to a minmal so if you’d like you can simply check the box of photography being booked and know when you see me on your wedding day, you’re going to have an amazing expereince and beautiful photos to follow.
On your wedding day, you can take solice in having someone with you who isn’t just there to take photos, but also keep the time, calm down your mum, help you with your outift, re-do your hair (did you know I went to school to be a professional HMUA a lifetime ago?) teach you how to successfully pop a champagne bottle and get you a glass of wine for the nerves before you have to give your speech.

Our special day would not have happened if it wasn't for Kate. She is so much more than just a photographer, she's got all the advice, tips and recommendations a bride could ever need... Oh and she just happens to take 10/10 photos as well. Thrilled she was our photographer (and witness!) for our elopement, our photos are absolutely stunning.

What can we say Kate was the most kind, helpful, beautiful human to have with us on our day!
